How to get here:

Located 63 miles from Newcastle International Airport and 64 miles from Edinburgh International Airport, Thornton Farm Cottages are 5 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed and 30 miles from Alnwick.  There are plenty of activities nearby to choose from: Berwick boat trips (5 miles), The Maltings Theatre & Cinema (5 miles), Lindisfarne Castle (14 miles), Farne Islands (22 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (19 miles).

Berwick train station is 6 miles from Thornton and there are ample taxis available at the station. 

Our nearest pubs are situated in Norham Village which is 3 miles from the cottages.  Alternatively, there are plenty of places to eat in Berwick.  For those who wish to take-away, Just Eat can deliver to Thornton or we can suggest local take-aways.

We are happy to accept grocery deliveries on the day of your arrival any time between 11am and 1pm.

Directions to Thornton Farm from Berwick-upon-Tweed/A1:

• At the East Ord Roundabout take the 3^rd exit on to the A698 heading to Cornhill
• After 3 miles, turn left towards Thornton and Shoreswood
• Continue for 0.5 miles and follow the road to the left
• Soon you will reach Thornton Farm
• Swallows Nest, Skylark and Wagtail are all situated on your left. Linnet is on your right.
